Hi,
I have a nos dac with CS8412 + TDA1541A. I am wondering if the attached external clock module would work with my dac or not? 1PPM 11.2896 MHz Low Jitter TCXO Crystal Clock for DAC - eBay (item 290426289431 end time May-17-10 21:08:20 PDT) Thank you |

Does your DAC currently have a clock?
Most DAC's with a S/P DIF receiver don't, but the occasional DAC with a CS8412 will run asynchronously using a clock. Is yours one of those? |

CS8412 is a converter from spdif to I2S. It has also a clock inside. Today i made my external clock with 74hc4040 and 0.5PPM crystal. Unfortunately external clock does not make any change in sound quality. It is excellent working, everything is ok but sound is same with or without external clock. I am in shock!
