I just want to build myself a simple but musical dac. Does not matter what chip dac is involved.
Please anyone who made something like this to send to me the schematics and even more important, the PCB schematics. I'm a DIY-er guy but I don't have any experience in designing any PCB but I think I have to start learning. Please tell me what softwer for designing PCB schematics is easear to learn, if anyone have experience with these kind of softwers. Thanks a lot!!! |

If you want to skip the software control, I've had very good results from the WM8524.

Nothing wrong with the IPod's DAC. Compared with the compressed formats that are played on it, you can say it's overkill

I can't tell if there is sarcasm floating around...
![]() But I know of some who spend almost 1k on an iMod setup (with the highest-end earphone/headphone, amps and stuff) and zero on a non-portable source. |
