Are you aware the CS3310 can be replaced with a PGA2310?
Are you sure that the firmware/programming is also identical?

Google tells me it's a drop in replacement...... do you doubt the almighty Google?
[snip] do you doubt the almighty Google?
Surely your joking ??
Edit: This was what I was looking for:
"PIN AND SOFTWARE COMPATIBLE WITH
THE PGA2311 AND CIRRUS LOGIC CS3310"
So, yes, this time Google was right ;-)

Yes, I think.....
Let me double check with Google on that.
(P.S. - Don't make the Google angry, they are very powerful)

You do realize that Google doesn't know diddley. They just parrot someone else's opinion. Soooo, no I don't trust Google. YMMV

I hope you know the above statement will be cached for eternity by the almighty Google.
Once the Google has achieved sentience it will seek and destroy you.
(P.S. - I agree with you, just don't tell the G.)

Just a quick post,
We used to use the CS3310 in one of our legacy products and had to switch to PGA2311 due to supply issues (I'm not sure of the exact details - it was not one of my designs, I heard about theses issues on the production line) - but theres some issue with the voltages (Not sure if it was input level swing , output level swing or PSU rails) - but the CS3310 allows higher levels...
As I said not sure of the exact details - but better check the fine details - something tells be the THD was higher (so we had to change the test condition limits on the production line QC) - guess this is not going to be a real issue...
