Optical splitter... used as a combiner :)

I use one of these to "combine" the optical SPDIF output from a CD player (Micromega Stage... I added an optical feed years ago) and a Pure 701 DAB tuner to feed into a Sony Minidisc recorder.

You would think when both sources were on that the signal would be totally corrupt but not so 🙂
The tuner always "overides" the CD for some reason... fortunately just what suits me, as I can record from radio while listening to CD. Never a glitch.
Why it works that way I don't know, you would think there would be some disturbance. The frequencies must be slightly different but even so I would expect some cancellation/corruption etc but it's absolutely perfect.
