Default Optical splitter... used as a combiner :)

I use one of these to "combine" the optical SPDIF output from a CD player (Micromega Stage... I added an optical feed years ago) and a Pure 701 DAB tuner to feed into a Sony Minidisc recorder.

You would think when both sources were on that the signal would be totally corrupt but not so
The tuner always "overides" the CD for some reason... fortunately just what suits me, as I can record from radio while listening to CD. Never a glitch.
Why it works that way I don't know, you would think there would be some disturbance. The frequencies must be slightly different but even so I would expect some cancellation/corruption etc but it's absolutely perfect.
