Default DCX2496 Sampling rate, loss of fidelity with 196khz sources?

If you were playing a bluray disc with material at 196khz and had a crossover such as the DCX2496 in line to your speakers, aren't you essentially losing the fidelity of 196khz because of the unit's sampling rate of 96khz? Could you tell the difference with a really good setup?
