Do you think this could successfully drive an Aleph J? (with digital volume control instead of a pot)

Hi Dave,

This would be a perfect match with the Aleph J providing you use the balanced inputs. The input impedance of the Aleph J is no problem, and it has just enough gain to be driven to full power by this circuit.

Definitely an excellent match!

Hi Guys,

Great to see all the interest in the boards and especially the SMD kits. It looks like everyone who wants a board is also looking for an SMD kit, so I'm going to simplify everything and just order 40 sets of the SMD parts. That means the boards now come with the SMD parts, and there will be a single price for both.

Speaking of pricing, I've got everything more or less firmed up. The PCB's might end up being a tiny bit more if I have to pay taxes or brokerage on the order, but so far it's looking like:

PCB: $19
SMD Kit: $23
Shipping: likely about $3 to US and Canada, not sure yet for overseas.

When the boards get here, I'll be building one up and testing it, then I'll start the painful process of doing the kit-up for each board.

So all told, it'll certainly be under $50 including shipping, which is pretty good for a board with parts! There's definitely power in numbers.

Please remember there are many of us that are profoundly grateful for the contributions made by the more knowledgeable members of DIYA.
My system would still be the pathetic POS it was before I found this place and it's people a few years ago. The stuff I build from knowledge gained here is way above average.
