Default Y-cable for digital signals

Tried to make an Y-cable for 2 digital sources in and 1out to the dac,but the signal cuts of.Is it possible to make such a cable? I donīt want to involve a switch.

Tried too, does not work, my case was 1 in 2 out. I'm doubting if it's possible.

Not possible. The "proper" way to do it is with something like S/PDIF 4:1 Receiver/MUX Module , but you'll still need some method of switching.
