I tested the QA550 today with the TCXO removed, and directly driven by the divided clock signal from the ES9022 XO (45.1584 MHz).

Anybody using the new ESS Vout DAC (ES9022)?

Sounds wonderful. Need some more serious listening.

So have to give John this one. Synchronuous with one XO for all remains the best solution.

Fran,

You should not forget that most source data is at 44.1kHz and not 48kHz.
(See 9022 datasheet P.5, near top.)

A module made to a special request :

ES9022 with 48MHz XO, frequency divided to 12MHz to feed the WM8804, with no regulators on board.

Works first time.

Hi, just a short question, is the 9022 capable of 384Khz sample rates as the bigger brother, 9018? I couldn't find this info anywhere..
