OK I got the tip from someone else but thanks to all people that stay with both feet on the ground and like to discover things and share that openly without holding back details.

Dear Patrick,

do you know how to use the single d type flip flop with no "not Q" pin?

should i connect the D with Q and take the connection to signal out ?

thank you

I don't know how to do frequency divide without not-Q.

Please kindly google :
Frequency Division using Flip-flops

Yes Patrick,

I have use google, but mostly the single gate d type flip flop using the "not Q" as feedback loop and devide the frequency by 1/2.

well maybe i need to try harder

thank you

No, you need to have not-Q.

Hi Guys,

In the es9023 data sheet it says best performance will be obtained having at least fs256 for 32k to 96k sampling rates, so it should be fine to use 11.2896Mhz as the master clock.

Has anyone experimented with this?

Is the performance much better using 45.1584Mhz?

Or is it because 11.2896 has a smaller selection of good quality crystals?

Reason being MCK could be fed to a QA550 without using flip flops.

Ryan

My understanding is that the jitter correction inside the ES9022(3) works better with a higher clock frequency.
The datasheet says at least .....
Two FF is easy enough.

But by all means try 11.28 without division and tell us if you hear any difference.
