Default S4580P replacement

Hi!

I have Theatron Agrippa soundcard which has S4580P dual opamps. I would like to experiment a little and would like to know which would be adequate replacement for this opamp?

Here are specifications:

http://www.datasheetcatalog.org/data...auk/S4580P.pdf

Regards,
Igor

Can you just confirm what the physical package is. The data sheet say's SOP8 which is a small outline package, but appears to show an IC with DIP size
Is it DIP8 in the equipment or a surface mounted IC package ?

You have loads of choices, and if you search these forums you'll see plenty of threads discussing opamps.
My own recommendations still stand, for a "musical" sound the OPA2604AP is one of my favourites, and for a surprisingly capable performer (far far better than you might imagine) the old TL072.
Perhaps if you fitted sockets then you could experiment and see if you can hear differences etc.

Thanks for suggestions! I'll try OPA2604 as I have few at home.

Little update... I ordered LME49720HA and replaced original S4580 opamps and difference is so unbeliveable. Like a have totally different sound card.
Sound is much more opened, details are incredible, bass has more attack, vocals are simply incredible.
