Hmm, seems to be gathering info from various quarters, our Joe is - asks a lot of basic questions for a manufacturer? - maybe he could post here what's he's up to & what gives? Why not sign an NDA & get the ESS datasheets yourself, Joe?

I did a search of my Inbox and only your LEM enquiries showed up. Not sure what's happened?

But you got info, I got interest.

Acko is here in Sydney and that heightens my interest further. When he is ready I would love to hear it and compare with reference stuff here.

BTW, nice to see guys using the real names. Makes searching my Inbox easier.

I mean, this could well turn out to be a killer DAC is all the T's are crossed and all the I's are dotted. The devil is in the detail.

Cheers.

Maybe they confuse Australia with Austria.

Cool Project. Any plans to do a USB or firewire input board for the system?

Oh yes, that would be extremley nice! I need a modern, external allround DAC, that I can hook a computer to as well.

Is it Asynchronous? It's got a 12MHZ clock. PLL? That wouldn't be good. The best way to do a DC would not be with a SPDIF input anyway. I can't see why these converters are so popular. Must be a lot of people with old DACs
