Yes, these are available for those wish to iron out things themselves. The site is new and will put this options soon. In the meantime enquire about custom options.

Yes, the MCU module can do this.
John (Jkenny) is handling the USB-I2S module and will update with more details.

As I PMed to Zaireeka:
The USB module that will be offered with the AckoDac is based on the modified HiFace 24/192 asynchronous USB transport that I've offered elsewhere as a stand-alone USB transport. It will plug into the input of the AckoDac feeding it I2S signals (not the inferior SPDIF). This means high quality, high res USB audio is available directly with the AckoDac

The options, pricing & testing of this module has yet to be finalised so please bear with us a bit longer

couple questions:

-can one AKR3312 supply the entirety of the dac without problem for those who dont want to shell out 600$ in one shot like me?

-is only one prduction run going to be made and that s it, so that you better buy what you want right now?

- do you have some kind of test results for the regulators and current/voltage capabilities or things like that? maybe one could be interested in using these in other projects.

Trying to answer some of your questions: The current requirements for the combined supplies into the DAC:
Combined 1.2V supplies 130mA
Combined 3.3V supplies 90mA

I'm not sure the max current output of the KR3312 but will check.

Remember though that the Sabre DAC is VERY sensitive to power supply quality & to get the best from it requires some separation of supplies & the best quality that can be provided.

No, there are on-going production runs
