Default Philips TDA 1544

Hi guys,

Anybody has info about this chip? I found it inside sony CDP S-41. I suspect this is the DAC chip, it falls somewhere in between TDA1543 and TDA1545, but then I cant find any datasheet online.

p/s- very very good sounding player, BTW.

Ive downloaded the service manual, indeed it says TDA1543A.

But on the chip it is printed TDA1544. Strange...

Hi all
The TDA1544 seems to be identical to TDA1543, but has slightly better S/N ratio at bipolar zero: 101 dB /comparing to 96 dB of TDA1543/ and less THD+noise at -60 dB signal level: 33 dB /comparing to 30 dB of TDA1543/. A Chinese company sells even today some DACs with 4 of these chips on board.
