Has anyone tried to bring an external clean regulated power to PCI sound card in a PC?
Apparently 3.3 Volts is what is needed to power up the card in a PCI slot. I am thinking of doing so for Lynx L22 sound card so that it is not powered by switching PSU in PC, but I have no clue how it would be done, if I would have to lift up one leg on card’s PCI bus connector, or…? |

but the PC's ground is very noisy,so even if you would bring external regulated supply to the card ,you would still have to connect the GND,so i don't see the point...
