Default Help needed with digital pots

Hi guys, I have a small query about digital pot, I am building a amplifier circuit [using Op Amps] where I need to use digital pots, one to control 0 to +10V and the other to control 0 to -10V. I have found there are digital pots with dual supply using +/-15V [or 0 to 30 V] from Analog devices [AD 5290. so there is no issue with voltage. What I want to know is ,

1. Can I use this digital pot be used to vary 0 to-10V [I will be using 2 , one for +v and other to vary -v], considering voltage in not an issue can a digital pot be used to vary o to -v ? which uses dual supply of + and - voltage, keeping the voltage applied to the resistor lower than the supply?

2. I need to use a 47Kohm pot, and only 50K pots are available what should I do?
