Full wave or half wave rectification help!

I am building an ezDual to power my eZdac made by Evan from a GB. I have a question... I was trying to read about full wave vs. half wave rectification and am trying to understand the difference. Is the difference of using d1 & d2 vs d1, d1', d2, and d2' as diagramed in the schematic. What does full wave gain me? Is it just a higher RMS value? Do I want to use 4 diodes instead of 2? Right now all four are installed. I will be using a 15VA Trafo. Any help would be awesome! I am month 4 into this DIY hobby!!
