That's right, but a PNP needs to be connected to GND with the collector, and the emitter to the LED. I used a similar circuit in my ezDAC to detect the S/P-dif signal. I used pin 14 though.

I'm interesting in adding a USB input to my ezDAC.

I've got an internal flea clock in my ezdac, so I don't think I'd need one with the usb receiver.

(I'd also prefer to supply the usb receiver with my own 5v reg, instead of using the PC's power supply).

Any recommendations?

Hi Pascal,
The connection to the master clock M to the signal MCLK, MCLOK and SCK is correct? you do not you use any fun out scheme for the CLK?
I was reading the datasheet but I do not understand the connection of M - CLK to the pin 24 of CS8416
have you some results of the DAC.

Sadly, http://ezdiyaudio.com/ doesn't seem to be working anymore. I attach the schematics, the BOM and the PCB artwork from the original website. The rest of the website is currently available from the Internet Archive.

I have realized a PCB alternative to that of Evan (thanks :-)) in order to change the output stage with an at will ..
I only have a problem ...
I hear only one channel ...
Has anyone had the same problem??
