Default Any DIY 5.1 DAC?

Are there any dolby 5.1 capable dac's that are feasible to diy?

DAC's do not decode Dolby Digital or DTS. DSP's are doing that.
And anyway, those lossy compressed signals are not something that need good DAC's - the best you get is around 55dB dynamic.
Now, a 5.1 DAC fed from the digital outputs of a DVD-A/SACD decoder chip (to replace the original one on the DVD board) is another thing...
