TDA1541 problem, CDP M75 service man.

Hi,

I have problem with DA converter in this CD player. Distorted sound only in right chanel. I found solution here, but it does not help, I replaced ALL condersers around TDA1541 - I hate it :-( . And I replaced also the TDA1541. The PS lines are very noisy with glitches, but I think, this can't be the reason. It seams for me, that problem is at digital side of TDA1541. I checked input signal, and CLK is like sinus. The output signal of right chanel look like this:

Please, if somebody has service manual for this player Sony CDP M75 a I can offer for exchange, check the apended list.

Hi dusr_123,
I'm sorry, but I don't have that manual. I wasn't aware that Sony ever used a Philips D/A. Learn something new every day.

One manual that might help you is the Nakamichi OMS-2. I don't have that one either (but if anyone has it, I could use it). That one also uses a TDA1541A D/A converter. Do you have the spec sheet for the TDA1541A? That, I can give you.

I did notice that you had a couple Philips CDM mechanism manuals. Would you be willing to send them to me? If so, please email them to : bhomester at gmail dot com. Don't want my email address to become a target for junk.

Have you checked your DC supply voltages? If so, what are they?

Always watch out for a conductive glue that Sony used. It starts off a yellowish off-white. The more brown it gets, the lower the resistance can be. If it's black, that's bad news. If you see any, cut and scrape it out. It will corrode component leads, heat and /or moisture accelerate the problem.
