I managed to get the V8 of this DAC working at 24/192. It only works through coax though, not through the optical.

I have the Gigaworks Big DAC using a transformer output stage but I'd like to try a tube output stage after hearing the potential of the Jolida Glass FX lately.

Is there an easy "walk through" and/or parts list somewhere does anybody know? These threads are so large I can't see the wood for the trees.

Thanks

Additional. Something like this, but tubes:

DIY DAC Kits and Easy Mods

Thanks. I know there's a "Universal Tube Output Stage" option but it won't fit in my chassis (and I'm a miser).

If You have CS4398 chip onboard you can try this: Click the image to open in full size.

The component values are on my site: Odtwarzacze CD

R7 must be 2W or so.
The transformer can be Sowter 3575 or similar.
On the cheap - Monacor LTR110 should do.

Kevin, slightly off topic but I was wondering in addition to your Jolida FX DAC, did you ever add a linear power supply to the Logitech? I heard this makes a very nice improvement as well in the audio
