Is there such a thing as an "extension" for a 8 pin DIP socket??
I would like to try a discrete opamp but have some clearence issues.
Is there a way to raise the socket up, say about 1/4- 3/8"?
Something like a plug-in extension or pins that I can insert in the exsisting socket and then plug the opamp into.

DIP sockets intended for wire-wrapping usually have long pins on them,usually about an inch,or so...
