I am replacing the stock op/amps in my Denon dvd2900 with
op627au's mounted on brown dogs.
the brown dogs have one op/amp on top and one on the bottom.
(I had thought that they would both be on top like the pictures I have seen but oh-well:rolleyes: )

So how do I mount thes new op/amps in the sockets?

I see one square pad on the module, would that be the same end as the notch on the originals?

Thanks

The square pad is pin 1, which on most opamps will correspond with a indentation or a notch on that end, yes. Always check the datasheet. Oh, and check the orientation of your SMD's, twice, I killed an 827 the other day when I assumed I had it round the right way and didn't.
