Default Diy home automation server

I wounder if it would be allowed to discuss diy home automation systems on this board.
Its not audio per say but it will eventually controll things like multi room audio and surround processor's!

I am thinking about a low powered MCU with 8 serial ports, two USB root hubs and ethernet running Linux.

I have allready ordered the following board to start my project.

http://www.embeddedarm.com/products/...roduct=TS-7300

This board meets and exceeds my requirements. Expecting it arrive next week.

How about the integrated solution

Though I am not sure about the MB, it may be underpowered for this "beast".
