Russ,

Does this means that you will be selling kits with this new Sabre chip with a new pcb layout? Will the pricing be the same or it will be a little bit expensive?

I am sure we will carry it, but I really can't speculate on the cost yet since I have no idea how much the chips will cost.

The DAC board will be a bit different to be sure.

I too am very much looking forward to it. This chip has a some killer new features, but I am not free to talk about them yet.

Cheers!
Russ

I don't even know when the chips will be in full scale production from ESS.

But I imagine I will have the new DAC board ready to test in the next month or so.

Cheers!
Russ

Hey Russ,

what do you think of the following ?
( possible ? good ? any comments? )

i'll try and mod a digital receiver for HT
to get I2S or SPIDF chanel output
- > multiple DCX2496 wiht I2S I/O if necessary
wich will do the Xover for all of my chanels
- > outputs to your Bufallo setup

are your bufallo setup to run 2 chanels only ?
if so i'd probably need 5 kits or more
( subs, FLH low, FLH high, FRH low, FRH high, RLH low, RLH high, RRH low, RR high and maybe a center rear )

- > amplifiers ...

what do you think about the digital path ?
what would be the best option ?

Jim.

I have an answer for you that will blow you away.

But it will have to wait.

Suffice it to say, prepare for a step closer to audio nirvana.

Man! Damn NDA. Dustin (and CO) hit a home run as far as I am concerned.
