any one know where I can get a digital transformer or two from ?

I assume you mean a pulse transformer, for SPDIF coupling? Try Newava S22083, available at digikey.

That transformer appears to be designed for HV lighting, not digital audio.

I use Mini-Circuits ADT1-6T.

It doesn't have enough current handling to meet the AES/EBU spec without terminating the input side of the transformer, but it's perfectly fine for SPDIF.

Just please don't use an Ethernet transformer...

PE65612 from digikey/mouser are also decent. the newava is supposed to be better.
