I've seen a black sealant or mastic applied as an adhesive to parts on some loudspeaker drivers. An example is the way that the back cups are glued to BG Neo3 tweeters. This stuff dries hard and holds strong but can be removed cleanly with a chisel.

Does anybody know what this product is?

A non-hardening grey putty is very available as Electrical Putty or Duct Seal Compound.

Bizarrely, all the images on the H-D page show air-duct applications. There are other products made FOR that. The G-B dough fills gaps around electrical boxes, seals penetrations against air leaks, and "Deadens switch gear panel noise".
