I'm planning my "master build" - the speakers that will be the end of it and stay in my living room forever :)
(Famous last words)

My plan is to build the Troels Gravensen SP44 with a modified cabinet - keeping the internals the same, I'd like to modify the outer look to match something like the Sonus Faber Amati, or something like this build:

EktaG-DavidUK

I plan on having the cabinet CNC'd in layers, and then applying veneer in strokes of 10 - 12 cm - with 1mm space in between?

Any tips on doing this the right way?
How to space the veneer and get the nice lines in between perfectly straight?
What's the best way to get the high gloss look on veneered speakers? (I was thinking about clear epoxy?)

I'd really want to do it right the first time so any input is appreciated!
