Hello, I have got a philips CD player recently. All functions work fine except the top metal cover turn to rust as pictures shown. The appearance is not really good and I would like to refurbish it by spraying black paint . Does anyone has experience on how to refurbish it from scratch like this case? Thanks!

I would take it to a car body spray shop for an estimate and if expensive firstly wire brush the metalwork, use fine wet and dry 400 grit paper to clean it up and then either have it sprayed at a car body shop or spray it with Hammerite Smooth black or a colour of your choice.
