Ikea Hacks

Pencil cups by Ikea turned into output transformer enclosures. (Small transformers only unfortunately)

Addictive. Another transformer encased. This time with Ikea Dragan. The reason for this was mainly because the frame was a ferrous material...and not copper as Audio Note does. If it makes a difference I'll never know.

Just in case some of you want to try this. I do put wood glue on the corners as shown in attachment before I put stuff in it. Since the "top" panel is not glued in place ...(the top pannel just slides in ...so it is loose enough that you can hear it if you tap on it...so it won't go anywhere but I prefer it to be glued). And I sand off the polyurethane or whatever shiny coating that is sprayed on at the factory. And coat with boiled linseed oil.
