I need to install an exhaust fan in my listening room. Any recommendations for a US available unit? Something like a bathroom fan would be sufficient. Let's just say I need to vent the smell of "incense." I want something as silent as possible. Home Depot has some "ultra silent" ones but no specs on how loud they really are.
I would guess most bathroom fans are too loud, but I'm not familiar with those ultra silent models. You could place the fan farther from the room end of the duct to reduce the bother, but that is likely to involve a bit of modification to an off-the-shelf unit. Your location is a giveaway.
That's a good idea. My room is in the basement, adjacent to a crawlspace I could run it through and still stay within code.
Yeah, it's harder to hide from my 10 year old son though!

I've installed one which runs continuously - it's very quiet.
