I'm afraid of table saws, I don't look for extra busywork, plus I scour craigslist and thrift shops for quality donors, so this predicament could never befall me, so thanks for the perspective. Actually, I just want to see this jig and sled thing...Pics?!

people do. its just not in particle board. Higher end pro cabs and guitar cabs are with birch plywood.


but not all particle board is equal either.

Seems like MDF would be easier to work with than particle board, and BB still. But MDF is lots less resonant than the others.

When I do build the jig, i'll post pictures, and probably of the whole rebuild. But I have several m ore pressing projects currently.
