Good PolyFill Option?

Will this work as a good substitute for the AcoustaStuff from parts express?

Amazon.com: Fairfield Poly-Fil Premium Polyester Fiber, White, 1 Box, 5-Pound: Arts, Crafts & Sewing

I have everything but this and shipping from Parts Express is crazy. (Spoiled by Amazon Prime)

I usually just buy a pillow from Wal-mart and pull the stuffing out.

I was actually very impressed with this PolyFill... I needed 2.5 lbs per cabinet, so this fit the bit. 5 lbs of PolyFill in pillows would have been much more expensive.

shag carpet throwaway work?

If the stuffing feels slippery, it won't work worth a darn. I tested several types. Wool, cotton, FG, acoust-stuff, and 2 Lb foam were all in the same class. FG better is subs, cotton maybe better in reflections. The poly was far worse. I tested by comparing the Fs and Qts of sealed systems. So I fill my sealed subs with FG. Notice acousta-stuff is bonded, not totally loose fibers. Will it work? Test it yourself!

I am somewhat confused by the role of speaker stuffing, like polyfil. If u don't use it, what effect will it have? is it the resonance or amount of bass? seems like polyfil is usually stuff used, but tvrgeek says poly was far worse...

Seems to me polyester fill caters to those who like to use a lot of stuffing and are confused by the dangers or price of the options.
