Finally a working full surround and spiderless midrange woofer

Hello Guy's like I promised the first test of a home build spider -and surroundless speaker with adjustable damping ... This is only for testing there is yet a lot to do.
This is the first test so I don't have any measurements yet. On the bottom is a link to youtube if you are interested to see this in action.
One question, there are resonances at the end of the cone (the edge) The intention is to put the cone into a just fitted gap so no need for the surround (this is for weight reduction). Any sugestions? A very thin alu ring, or a rubber ring glued on the end? Thx

I have been advised not to disclose any more info at this point due to potential commercial interests in this design. Therefore it is not possible to give more info about this project.
