Hi. I love this table but the wood veneer is a little dark.

Does anyone know if I can bleach the wood a bit to make it a lighter red?

Hi,

Sounds complicated, and end grain on edges is always a problem I've
seen with staining (and probably bleaching) wood veneered speakers.
(I've never done it, just seen friends come a cropper occasionally.)

You would have to strip the current finish to be able to bleach the veneer.

Its possible the finish is dark and the real wood is lighter, hard to say.

It's dark red at the moment. How to strip it without sanding? Mahogany I think.

Then just wax the wood veneer after for most natural finish?
