Yes. A "coupling" capacitor.

A coupling capacitor does not present HF capacitance, but only at LF where it doesn't matter for this problem. Cable capacitance will do it, an RF filter, or any Miller capacitance from the first stage.

If the shield of a cable is connected for the ground return on both the ends, u will get hum.
