What is the Flux Pen for? I was told you put it on the PCB board in the middle of very tiny pieces and they will stick to it. I tried this and it doesn't work. And yes, I pushed it down at first and it came out. I have this:

It's to help with soldering. Use the pen to put some flux on the copper, then it will be easier to solder onto the copper.

I've only soldered for decades.
If the flux isn't in the solder, check back after decades. |

There is a ton of reflow work, all that surface mount stuff for example, where you are not feeding solder from a roll into each joint. A dose of flux on the board before soldering down a huge LSI makes it a lot easier.
