Hi all,
I want to try building the physical part of a shotgun mic, the tube with slits allowing for wave cancellation etc. Can someone point in the right direction, on how to work out spacing of said slits, size of slits etc given a certain diameter tube? Not afraid of math. Also if anyone has a shotgun mic, would you be kind enough to measure diameter, size of the slits and the spacing in between them? Can verify with some kind of method that way. |

(not sure how to edit)
Found this stating the slit pattern isn't important. Re: Shotgun microphone design But diameter is important, matched to the mic size. I wonder how a series of drilled holes would perform then.. |
