Default My_Receiver

I intend for this to be my build thread for my project, a all-in-one stereo receiver. I have recently purchased a Sony XDR-F1HD tuner and wish to use it as a source for a My_Ref based chip amp. My plot is to build a case that houses the tuner, the amp, a volume control, a source selector, maybe a DAC and maybe a preamp.
I am on TeaBag's GB list for a DCB1 board. I think I have ClaveFremen convinced to sell me a pair of My_Ref FE boards. I'm considering a DAC kit that uses the AK4396. I want remote control and am considering this PGA2311 kit or building a Lightspeed and somehow using a powered Alps 100R stereo volume to have remote.

The photo shows my humble beginings. I cut up the cover of a dead HT receiver and used heatsinks I got from Apex Jr. My current amp, a My_Ref rev C from Twisted Pear is mounted sideways on the heatsinks so I can have room to solder larger components underneath the boards. The caps face the back of the case. I hope to find a Aluminum plate to span and thermal connect the two heatsinks so I can mount the DCB1 there and have short wire runs to the amps and the I/O.

I'm new at this. To quote Nosian, "i do not have any degree in electronic just know that those small beer cans are electrolytic and those stuff with rainbow condoms called resistors". I have completed what I think is a fine pair of speakers. They use Fostex FE206E drivers in Dallas II back-loaded horns.

I am grateful for any suggestions, comments or even criticism. I'm eager to learn and want to hear it as it was meant to be heard. TIA
Joe
