what should I know for making a speakers stand?
there are a lots of people fill their speakers stands with sand. why aren't they use concrete stand or stack of bricks instead? |

It really does not matter. Sand is easy and fills the space.

Concrete blocks were just easier for me but I see why they might want to use sand as tvrgeek says.
