Default SWR-1243D Box.

Here is what I want to do.

I want to connect this...

swr-1243d
(More info) Alpine SWR-1243D (SWR1243D) 12" Dual 4 ohm Type-R Car Subwoofer

to this...

ProMedia 2.1

1) How do I connect the two? It is for my computer.
2) What kind and size box would be recommended?
3)Amp?
4)So confused...

I know next to nothing about this stuff go easy on me lol

Any additional info you might need let me know.

OK...here goes, You really can't "connect" the two....You are trying to integrate a car subwoofer into your PC sound system.there are almost countless problems in trying this. The bass sounds you would experience would be disappointing to say the least.even if you managed. First off the sensitivity of the car woofer is too low........Woofers have a rating of sound pressure level, or SPL. It is denoted as 85Db@1W...or Eighty five decibels of pressure at one watt of power at one meter distant. You driver is at 85Db..extremely low.......recall the Car stereo competitions."I have Two-Thousand Watts here!"" I have three-Thousand"" I have .......".
Second.this is a car Subwoofer, not a good choice for home use.....regardless of price. Third.this PC sound system would have to be "Hacked up", disassembled to get to the amp outputs.......leave it well enough alone.
Are you wanting more bass for your computer sound system? There are better approaches to take if that is your goal. Tell us what you want & we'll guide you toward what you want.

Here is my first post.
Noob needs woofer advice =D

The guy that was helping me out made it sound like it wouldn't be too big of a deal of inter-grading an additional woofer.

I have seen car woofers used for home use. From everything I have read and looked at car speakers always seem much higher quality.

Yes I would like more bass that is my goal.

This is what I want
