I really can't say how good these speakers sound compared to their simple construction. The past couple of days, I've been using a Sony TA-AX500 integrated amp from 1983 that's rated at 80 wpc at 8 ohms and the sound is massive for the two way drivers involved. If you look at the other speakers in the picture, you will see what I'm used-to listening to. Thanks to Suman and Madisound.
