I will be switching the T-AMP inputs from 2x RCAs to a DAC, do i need to switch the grounds as well?

not particularly cheap though, and DPDT would make it cheaper and simpler if possible.

Push switches are cheap. Examples from Mouser:

Also, a 4PDT relay is a common enough item. Bonus would be the relay could sit near the signal path and the button can be anywhere. No need to run signal to the panel and back.

What would be the benefit of running a simple switch+relay instead of a 4PDT switch? and how would you wire it?
I think Enzo already give the biggest benefit of a spst switch+relay.........being able to place it at the input rather than running cable to the front and then back.
It might be easier to get a 4PDT relay than a 4PDT switch that you like.
I can't think of another advantage off-hand.
On the disadvantage side is getting the right voltage for the relay. Perhaps current might be an issue. The space. Hum/click sound.
