Hello DIY'ers,
I have a little question about when designing an enclosure for a subwoofer. My design is a 6th order bandpass with the total volume of 350 liter. My subwoofer's VAS is 230 liter. Can the box be larger than the subwoofer's actual VAS? According to WinISD then there shouldn't be any problems with excursion etc. Regards, Simon H.A. |

maybe posting the driver specs (TS parameters) and the actual box You designed would help a great big deal more.
But .. I think the box size seems a bit fishy. |

Well, I won't use that enclosure design. I'm thinking about rear chamber tuned to 35Hz @ 250 liter and the front chamber tuned to 80 Hz @ 70 liters.
Actually I'm not sure what frequency range is best suited for outdoor. I'm thinking about 35-40Hz to 100Hz. |
