check the rectifier bridge, and the power mos-fet's D-S pins with a multimeter to see if they are not shorted.

Which pins are the D-S pins on the MOSFET? I'm afraid I'm not very familiar with MOSFETS. Is the power MOSFET "U1" or "U2" in your schematic?

I just did the lightbulb test and it lit continuously. This means the SMPS is broken, correct? What do I need to do to fix it? I'm quite experienced with soldering and pcb layouts and can order replacement parts in the USA, which will be much faster and less expensive than shipping to China and back.

I still believe that is safer and better to send back to repair, but if you are sure that you can repair yourself, check the rectifier bridge first, then the MOS-FET's. probably the MOS-FET's failed only and must be replaced. mail me to send you instructions to repair.

Sorry if I've missed this (tried a few searches here and looked around on the Connexelectronic site).
Can anyone tell me the dimensions of the SMPS2000R power supply and the dimensions of the IRS2092 Modular Amplifier? |

Hi Cristi
I just received a SMPS500R +/- 50v power supply from connexelectronic and found that the two smoothing caps (6800uf) were rated for 50v. Shouldn't these caps have some margin for overvoltage? |
