DIY/Triode-fest in West Sweden May 2013

We are at the moment planning for the tenth DIY-fest in West Sweden, and invite anyone interested in showing the World how things should be built and meet Swedish DIYers.
Eventually we will meet in the "People's house of Culture" Vänersborg.
It will most propably be on 11-12 of May.
It is a pure and clean DIY-fest for amateurs. We have almost added the "Triode" as we always have several tube equipment (amps and DACs) and this may interest more people.
We always try to mix equipment/people according to themes and to have complete sets (players+amps+speakers) in each and every room. Also we try to sort stuff according to technology - tubes, silicon, digital, analogue/vinyl, BIG horns, small bookshelves etc. Though in the end everybody have moved their stuff around enough to try all kinds of

We have gathered in Gothenburg earlier with side shows in Uppsala and Stockholm, but lately we have had some issues with localities, so we have an opportunity to gather here in the small town of Vänersborg.
In Vänersborg are three great hotels and I hope to be able to get DIY-discounts. Also you have the hills Hunneberg and Halleberg, wellknown for the mooses, and there's even a small aqualand in the town.
Apart from the localities, in, what was the city hotel, there are also plenty of restaurants and small cosy shops nearby.
You may, if you manage to get in touch with Swedish DIYers living in the area (Gothenburg/Trollhättan/Vänersborg) find a bed or sofa and Swedish hospitality.
Costs? Well, our fests have always been priceless (), though we appreciate a small but volontary donation.

We also hope to offer entertainment in our fantastic theatre, but no guaranties given.

Hi Magnus,
That is a little bit out of the way, if you held the event near any one of the aptly titled "around the sound" stations between Denmark's Helsingør and Swedens Helsingborg you would get a much greater number of potential visitors.

You may be right, but we had held this "part" for almost 10 years and it hasd been a local activity but always filled with enthusiasts, why we wanted to repeat it BUT this time try to attract friends from other parts of Europe - very much like the Triodefests, but with our traditionall laid-back style.
We, the organizers, all live in the gothenburg/Vänersborg area and are familiar will the "infrastructure" up here, that's why we have our meeting here.
