NZ Swap meet...????

There is now quite a few of us on here so what about doing a swap meet ?

Not sure if it has been done in NZ yet?? not sure if any one would attand?

I remember the amateur radio guys in Auckland used to (still do??) have a swap meet now and then. Does anyone know if this is still going on? There could be some useful crossover between the two crowds (tubes, chassis, etc..)

The Auckland Audio Society has its monthly meetings at a hall in Western Springs, just across from Motat. Perhaps that venue could be hired on a weekend? There's plenty of parking.

Whatever you do, I'd try and advertise as widely as possible, and give it a few months notice.

Cheers for responding, I must admit that I thought there would have been a few more respond..???

All of us have odd parts and bags of parts purchased when it cost a few extra cents to buy 100 than 10! Beats TradeMe getting a listing and selling fee on a few resistors!

Just checked out the Auckland Audio Society, I must admit that I never knew it existed, I will try to make it to their next meeting and see when they are planning a swap meet, as you said.
