Dave we were all tired of doing stuff. We went strong from 8 AM to 4 PM. A day long and eventfull. So if the presentation didn't happen it didn't happen. We will only hold it against you until the next event!

Had to do it!

I was the last one with any energy left at the end of the day. It was always meant to be dual purpose, so look for it on the site with the tools, soon.

It really is worth it. Your presentation is very well put together.

You're not getting off that easy mister. Where's your tapped horn presentation?

If the guys want one I will do one.

I'm not afraid of a rough crowd. I come with large boxes to take care of the rowdy dudes!

Dave, thanks for the graphs. The CSS Quattro 15 does indeed have the same diameter passives as the main driver. If you were to put the graphs for the Quattro and the RBR into words to "sell" them, what would you say about them. I'd like to post the info in my build threads but don't want to miss- interpret the results, or take them out of context.

Hi Rick,
I think the graphs show that the sub has really solid usable output to 20 Hz, and the RBR is very flat in response.

Looking at the Quattro, you might want to try less weight on the PR, it might give you a bit more output from 25 to 30Hz but at the expense of a slightly higher roll off.

Hi guys,
I've posted the presentation I pulled together for the Ottawa DIY meeting this January. You can find further information at:

How to Design Loudspeakers without Performing Measurements

Even if you don't want to design your own, but want to know how different design choices (box size, type, baffle shape, crossover types and roll off rates) affect the sound of loudspeakers, this is work a look.

Dave

Welcome to the group Kevin. Judging how the previous two events have gone, I believe the incentive will be high to have another. May not be until summer, but don't be afraid to post up what you're working on or interested in.

If we can keep people "talking" we can probably keep interest high in another meet. (sooner rather than later)
