I am unsure from your wording, are you saying there are lots of jobs or not lots of jobs?

I can't wait to make it over there.

Somebody told me that it is overcast there all the time. Is that true?

Compared with Regina, yes., but Victoria does hold the distinction of having Canada's longest growing season ie: time between frosts.

Lots of jobs...

It is overcast alot in the winter -- but it is rain instead of snow, and 6C instead of -16C. The recent world-wide weater pertebations have us enduring some unfamiliar conditions (ie more than a week with snow on the ground (but more sun in the winter than normal too), and summers that aren't 4 straight months of no rain & no clouds).

Sweet. I looked up the average and max/min temperatures. The website said the max temp was 32 degrees and the min was -17 degrees over the last 21 years. It will get colder than -25 for a week or more at a time out here.

32 we had on the May long weekend this year but nothing close since. -17 would be most unusual. Would that have been in '91?

I live in Surrey. The high official temp at Victoria or YVR is usually a bit cooler. The further inland you go, the warmer she gets. Dave is in one of the mildest climates in the country, we're not far behind.
