Sunday, October 21 2012 the New Jersey Audio Society is hosting the concertmaster of the NJ Performing Arts Center to record Saint-Sains "Apres le Deluge" on an Edison cylinder unit (borrowed from the Edison National Museum in West Orange NJ.) Simultaneously, the performance will be recorded on a state of the art system (and probably someone's I-Phone) for comparison.
We will probably have a few other participants from the NJPAC.
This should be a really interesting event for those interested in the history of recording. Meeting is at 2:00 pm in Montclair at the Congregational Church -- since seating is limited please contact me via DIYAUDIOs messaging system if interested.
