Little did we know that Trends would really rule! I am totally bewildered though. They said they ran the Trends wide open. Why didn't it clip their ears off??????? Someone please explain this mystery to me. Damn I wish they had used the Mardis Special!

Could be a very low-output CDP?

Who knows it's all personal taste!

Cary the winner in amp shootout uses two IcePower modules. Yet the DIY folk seems to ignore IcePower modules in favor of UcD. What gives?

On the other hand, Cary's 1000Wpc amp (ca. $5K)using IcePower 1000ASP disappointed its reviewer in AV magazine.

The IcePower modules are not available to DIYers like the UcD modules are.

Interesting test. Nice to see that the Trends did so well.

As for running the Trends and the Super-T wide open, they must have been using a preamp, but they don't give a list of the upstream equipment (that I saw).

I send them an email to ask for a few details.
